Live TV Freeze

Okay that narrows it down. Try one more thing to try whenever you can: In the Display Options tab in serverwmc, turn on
'Ignore Recording images in from WMC'. Then restart serverwmc and generate a log again. Thanks for the help.

OK - that shaved about 10 seconds off - we're down to ~20 secs to transfer ~600 recording's metadata (I assume now without images)

How much data is that (without images)?

Thanks for testing. The images are really just website urls, each pointing to a jpg for each show, but there is some processing that goes into making sure they are resolved properly since different systems can employ other ways of storing program images. Why that would trim 10s is kind of surprising, but more surprising is that the other stuff which should all be very fast is taking the other 2/3 of the time. I need to think about what to try next, hopefully I can get you test once I have something. I'll let you know.

OK - if there's a deeper logging that can be turned on, I'm happy to help. The live-TV freeze happens often enough to be hard to use that capability ...

Sorry for the delay, I was travelling. I started the pi first with an active stream then without one. The linked log shows the results.

Hi f5nopro, Have you udpated to Build 1150 that was released this weekend just passed? It contained a fix for what we think was the issue of slow client updates causing existing streams to pause/impact. Please let us know if it fixes your problem

This build fixed the issue for me. No more pausing when another Pi client is started while one is watching live tv.
