But most of the times it is recognized, after XBMC is up. Its recognized as 1080p and then I run the script, through ssh and its OK.

SOLVED. I used autoexec.py to run the commands.
Code:
import os
os.system("DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --output HDMI3 --mode 1280x720 --rate 59.9")
It works. After XBMC is on the resolution changes.

For some reason, after latest update xbmc crashes on startup.
removing autoexec.py solves the problem - but now I'm on square one with resolution problem.
Anyway to solve it?
