In your home directory should be a crashlog.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Similar report on a Pi nightly build:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1726451

and Boxee:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1726893

It's been suggested it was the upnp improvements commit:
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/b5e0...6679572eeb

and it requires a clean install to fix.

No crashlog,

@popcornmix - seems you're right - I disabled UPNP under services and everything is working again - thank you

This recent 5 June UPnP commit should help (while almost certainly confirming UPnP as the cause of recent crashes):

upnp: fix crash when upnp_server was NULL
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
