Didnt need it, but we Talk about it in the German XBMCNerds-Forum, so:

Would it be possible to add a Feature which let you Lock Custom Nodes (In Profiles) according to the Way it is possible now for Videos, Music and so on?

Thought this way it would be possible to customize the Nodes Acording to your Needs (one with PG18 / FSK18, one without, or Node accoprding Folderpath with and without "Kids"-Folder) and simply Lock the Parents Node. (Hope i explanded it well enouth)

Nodes are basically just playlists, so if you lock it you wouldn't really block access to those files. A better method would be to use nodes based on paths, and then lock the media source (wiki) paths, which is already supported. The bonus of media source locking is that all content in that path is removed from the GUI if the path hasn't been unlocked, so the kids can't bypass it by using another node or playlist.

Granted, lock/parental controls is in definite need of improvement in XBMC, but maybe that will hold some people over until someone takes an interest in working on the features.
