PVR backend for windows
#1
Hi All.

Just tried Argus TV, and it's quite good, but there are 2 things that I miss from tvheadend in linux.
1) it was lightweight, and kind of self contained, Argus TV needs SQL server, and all sort of c++ runtimes.
2) it doesnt stream! i love the idea of watching live TV from my android phone, which i could do with tvheadend.

Is there any backend that does this in Windows?

Sounds like you shouldn't have switched away from tvheadend. I'm not sure which backends have some form of Android client, I thought Argus had something but I guess it's only for scheduling stuff (seems like the only thing people do these days is fiddle with their recordings). If you get a SAT>IP tuner (only for satellite obviously) there should be some alternatives for practically all platforms, and you could use the tuner(s) in tvheadend too.

The windows media center backend (serverwmc) does this, using mediabrowser-server to transcode and stream to phones.
Windows Media Center PVR addon (pvr.wmc) and server backend (ServerWMC)
