Hi there,
I'm a complete beginner when it comes to this whole htpc thing. I was looking for a solution with a multimedia-nas however it has become more and more clear that this solution would be far from perfect.
I would like to do the following:
- Download torrents (which I can with a xmbc plug-in)
- Stream the video to different devices
- Store my data in a central place
- Play games (maybe use it with the new steam streaming-feature? Is that possible?)
- I would also like to stream games to either a nvidia shield (expensive
) or a ps vita (over a remote app which lets you remote controll the computer, needs windows 8 though. Would that be possible?)
- Is it possible to do streaming to multiple devices at once?
Anyway here is what I came up with so far:

I guess there is still a lot of room for improvement, so if you have any suggestions feel free to comment.
My current limit would be around 1200$, however I have to buy them in europe so everything will be a bit more expensive. If we stay under 1000$ then I would be a really happy man.
