ADPCM Audio not working.
#1
Hi.

I'm having problems getting audio on some family recorded movies.
The last working XBMC was 13.0 Beta 2, the following versions don't play any sound on the clips.
MediaInfo: AVI (recorded on Casio EX-Z850 / QVMI)
Audio
ID : 1
Format : ADPCM
Codec ID : 11
Codec ID/Hint : Intel
Duration : 41s 654ms
Bit rate mode : Constant
Bit rate : 176.4 Kbps
Channel(s) : 1 channel
Sampling rate : 44.1 KHz
Bit depth : 4 bits
Stream size : 900 KiB (4%)
Interleave, duration : 51 ms (1.53 video frames)

Does anyone else have this problem? I have tested on 3 different PC (2 with HDMI and one with Realtek audio).
Doesn't seem to be any hardware issues, as the 13.0 Beta 2 still works.

Don't think I will update until this is sorted out.

Thanks.

Will work with newer ffmpeg. Next time post a sample without that much ground noise :-) I got afraid shortly.

Install a nightly and it will work.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Sure enough, it worked with the latest nightly. Smile
I had not tried any of the nightly after 13.1.

Thanks, case closed.

This issue was not related to ffmpeg and will be fixed in 13.2 too: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/17f0...0a14089a19
