Hi All!
I want to be able to output 7.1 surround sound
Play DTS
DTS-HD
DTS-HD MA
DOLBY TRUE HD
AND SBS 3D
What hardware do i need to purchase to able to accomplish this in Xbmcbuntu or any Linux XBMC flavor.

Have a look at the hardware section, you should be able to find a lot of guidelines there. Basically anything you can buy today will be able to play all those formats.
