Hi, i suggest if it's possibile to have as popcorn hour with the settings in the image below:

Image

With a setup of:

Popcorn hour >Av receiver >TV all over hdmi

I can hear the audio from tv if the av receiver is off (i activated passtrough in standy by in av receiver setup) and i can hear the audio from av receiver if it is on

With xbmc if i don't set enable passthrough and the av receiver is on the audio signal is only in stereo and if i don't disable enable passtrough audio tv doesn't work

(Also with my old receiver connected over spdif audio was streamed simultaneously to tv conntected via hdmi and av receiver, i need only to mute tv audio when av was connected)

thank you

Everything showed on this screen is supported by XBMC. You misconfigured XBMC.
Please set settings level to advanced and take a screen of your audio configuration in XBMC.

Mmh, some time ago i posted about this problem:

And some one told me that i needed to use json to switch on and off passthrough to automate the procedure

XBMC should behave exactly the same as the Popcorn Hour, so I very much doubt the Popcorn Hour was able to passthrough 5.1 to the TV with AVR off unless it was doing something additional to ensure compatibility with both AVR & TV or you've changed something on you AVR that previously allowed this.

It seems ironic that you want xbmc to behave loke a popcornhour given your .sig message "Never buy a popcorn hour (cloud media) product !!!"

There is a thread somewhere on here about an addon that I think does what you want.
