Thanks all, got my ps3 remote working . Only issue now is when I switch sky off on with sky remote it wakes box up. Dohhhhh

Not as easy as I thought, remote doesn't seem to want to pair when I switch machine on now and loses connection mid use also. Batteries only just over a week old and decent brand.
Not sure what to do now, is the xbox one remote ok straight from the box? I don't understand key programming remotes

Sorry to revive this thread, but what ir remote can you recommend that works out of the box ? I've read some say xbox remotes are good.
I've been using my ps3 bluetooth remote but battery life is ridiculously short.
