Hi all,
I have an issue with airplay and xbmc. See thread below for background.
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=189970
In summary, airplay to xbmc on ATV2 does not work at all. I have had this issue for a long time - since before gotham (since iOS7 or earlier) and I can't fix it. When xbmc is not running airplay works perfectly. I have a good network with all apple kit including airport extreme router.
So I am at the point where I am ready to do a full / clean install of xbmc on my ATV. What I want to do is:
1. backup user data / settings
2. completely remove xbmc
3. clean install - without replacing user data
4. test airplay - if this does not work then clean jailbreak
5. if airplay working - restore userdata
6. test airplay - if working then I'm very happy. if not, I will rebuild my library
Does the above approach seem sensible? What other options should I consider?
If the above is worth a try, how can I completely remove xbmc? or should I just start with a clean JB of ATV2?
I have shsh blobs saved so I do have some options around which version of ATV I use. Is there any particular version that is recommended?
Thanks in advance.
