What's after Gotham?

So what's planned after Gotham? Has the team planned any new features yet? I have been told that UPnP is the future and SQL connectivity soon won't be needed anymore. Is that true and is it a possible new feature of XBMC 14?

Originally the plan was to wait for either Retro Player or the media import/library sharing advancements to be ready, and then cut a v14 release.

Then things came up and v14 will be a time-based release. Not sure what will make it before feature freeze or not, but we have a hard deadline for v14 to be released before the end of 2014.

An ETA on an XBMC release? Stranger things have happened :)

This won't actually delay any features, as those will still come when they're ready. The label might just be v15 instead of v14, but time wise it should be the same for either Retro Player or library sharing (or maybe both, who knows, depending on when they're ready).

Wait Retro Player like as in emulators will be included as an official part of XBMC?

XBMC project just gets better and better.

RetroPlayer is a playback engine for XBMC using the libretro emulation system.
We have an entire subforum dedicated to it.

Basically, this will be added once it is ready.
