ADT-1 for XBMC

Looks like Fire TV uses bluetooth so I guess they could always add it later in the consumer package. Or maybe the Fire TV's remote will work with it.

I hope they get it right this time. I don't really want to buy a chinese box, lack of support. Really like how the launcher looks, plus if they get the live tv right I can get rid of my cable box, and just use my hdmomerun prime and Windows pc for pvr. It would be nice to still have time shift though. From what I have read Android Tv has PlayReady DRM which Windows uses for WMC and CableCard. So it should be able to watch Copy Once content.

Kentoe would you be able to post up the Google Cast Receiver APK and/or build.prop.

You need to use the Dev cable that comes with it unfortunately. There is no ADB over TCP currently as I've found. You do need to enable the unknown sources stuff though. To install XBMC once you get to the ADB point, let me know and I can post some specific instructions I wrote down.

But at $100 plus, I don't want to have to rely on my phone and tablet having enough charge to control it. Especially when I'd most likely be using it more.

I do not see a way to do that, there isn't an IR sensor unfortunately. It comes with a game controller that works via bluetooth and also the phone app. It is rather strange.

Correct, yeah the remote works via bluetooth definitely. I can confirm that. HDHomerun prime actually made an app for the ADT when I went searching for it the other day. You can download the APK here: http://www.silicondust.com/forum2/viewto...81&t=17417

I can see what I can do. I can post a build.prop. Is there anything in particular in there that I should take out before posting?

I'd like to have the Netflix app too, if you don't mind, to see if it works with the AFTV.

The Netflix "Ninja" version is up on Play Store, but it appears that you have to have an Android TV device (or possibly a Google TV device) to download it.

The build.prop is the same for all of the same kind of devices. All ADT-1's will share the same, it contains nothing personal. By using parts of the ADT-1 I should be able to spoof the playstore and get android TV apps onto my Nexus Q.

Edit: its was just posted, thanks though

Has anyone tried the emulator. I got it to run, but it's slow and can't get ethernet to hook up. Need the latest intel chips for video acceleration.

I also tied and had the same experience than you.
Maybe you need a computer with 16 cores and 8gb graphic card to run it properly xD

Cool, glad it was posted. I've just been busy with this weekend and stuff. I'll try to pull the apk off tonight/today and see what can be done.

Hmmm I see...

I am trying to decide what will good to get right now , a android box quad core , and the xbmc to work , also the 1080p , wifi and so on... , mashup plugin.

There so many on the market this days and is hard to decide!

What you guys think about "Minix Neo X8-H "? i see they have a store in San Francisco, Ca.

Curios if this one is any good , and does all that , also keyword , game controller and 3d if compatible .

Thanks for anyone's input and also thanks Topken for replying .

jack2014 you won't get a response as far as that plugin goes. It's not supported in these forums (piracy plugin).

Thank you,

Mashup, of course you can talk about xbmc, it's an xbmc forum. Can't talk about the ones that infringe copyrights. It's a no no.
