As the title states i am trying to share a folder Via SMB with HTPC 13.1 Gotham from Mac with Mavericks 10.9.3 . I can see my Mac in the list but when i click to add it i get a error stating Connection denied.I have enabled SMB share on Mac and followed the Wiki instructions to the T. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated

This may or may not relate, but I've run into issues with the SMB in Mavericks at work with Windows server SMB shares. Apple wrote their own SMB2 implementation and set it as the default for connecting to SMB shares. This causes all sorts of connection issues. Previous OS X versions used the SMB1 implementation.
