I am using ServerWMC with an amazon fire TV and some of my recordings play fine but others only have audio

Also you should provide any other details you can think of, and highlight at what timestamp in the log you performed what action, which recording worked, which recording failed etc. Are they completed recordings or in progress recordings? Made via XBMC an dServerWMC or were they pre-existing recordings done in WMC itself? Any correlation between channel (eg all recordings from channel X don't work but Channel Y seems OK etc). Help us to help you
To give a technical explanation, and assuming these are completed recordings - Playback of completed recordings is purely XBMC accessing the WTV files directly, ServerWMC doesn't actually do anything in this case except tell XBMC where the WTV files are. You can try to play the WTV file in XBMC Videos section by adding the directory as a source, then confirm if you have the same issue with no video.
You can also try the option "Remux the playback of all WTV files" on the Debug tab in ServerWMC if you want to have ServerWMC convert even completed WTV recordings to TS on the fly and then have the client play the TS, to see if they fare better on your Fire TV
You can also check the WTV files on a windows PC and see whether you get video or not
