I love this skin and really want to switch all my PIs to it, but I am having a strange problem. i have tried searching and found one related post but did not see a reply. I installed this skin on one PI and every thing is working perfectly fine. so I installed it on a second PI and HD videos will not play. I get sound but no video. I switch back to Amber and the video plays fine. the same video plays on the other PI with Black Glass Nova as the skin. Does anyone know what could be going on?

the file that i was testing was Captain America Winter Solider. The log shows that it is not playable, but it only happens when this skin is active. If I switch back to Amber it plays fine.

I've found a skin related error. It's the movies.jpg file. It's a progressive encoded jpeg and it's not supported by xbmc.

I re-encoded the file and updated it on Github.

Can you please download it and replace the original file "Movies.jpg" inside your "/storage/.xbmc/addons/skin.blackglassnova/backgrounds" folder?

I do not know if this fixes your problem, but this is the only skin related error i see in your logs.

Hi, sorry for not getting back sooner. I was out of town on a business trip until today. I tried the updated Movies.jpg and it worked once. The Winter Soldier started up and I got video. I stopped it and tried another movie, Peabody & Sherman and no video again. i then went back to the winter soldier and, no video again.

These movies play fine when the Amber skin is active and on my other PI running Black Glass Nova. I have several PIs but I have not tried it on any of the other ones yet. Here is the new log.

From your logs i see some lines with the "COMXCoreComponent:ecoderEventHandler OMX.broadcom.video_decode - OMX_ErrorInsufficientResources" error.

Searching for it in Google, someone suggests to update the Rpi firmware. Maybe you can give it a go.

In almost every view and in the osd. Remember to enable clearArt in skin settings.

Hi mate what view is that a out. Fanart. Also if I uncheck the slide left in view feature will that stop the view changing when u scroll down. I know u said I goes bigger for longer text sometime the text is longer. It gets kinda annoying lol

You need to enable discart in skin settings and use the artwork downloader addon to get discart.

I actually updated to helix to get the updated skin, hoping it would fix my button problem. I think I got it to work by simply dragging the folder to the addons and deleting the old one. Unfortunately I still have invisible azure buttons.


Edit: I can't believe I didn't just do this before, but overwriting the "blue" graphics with the "azure" ones worked just fine and fixed the problem.

edit edit: The on screen keyboard seems to be broken though, it has 2 "ok" buttons (neither of which work) and none of the letters are shown and no buttons work period.

Are you using the latest nighty build? With helix alpha 2 the keyboard does not work.

I am using the latest build, fixed it easily enough though by replacing the relevant xml files from the old version.
