kevine123 I don't think you've said where in the world you are. There are different TV standards in use for digital TV :
ATSC 8VSB - OTA in the US (relatively straightforward)
DVB-T and DVB-T2 - OTA in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and large parts of Asia and the Middle East (Not all countries use T2)
ISDB-T - OTA Japan and parts of South America
These are the OTA/digital terrestrial standards which require an antenna/aerial.
There are also satellite and cable receivers (more useful in some countries than others)
For a recommendation of a tuner we need to know whether you want to watch cable, satellite or over-the-air/terrestrial and which country you are in.
