I'm cross posting this from the plugin development forum.
My initial post is here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=199625 but I thought it may be more relevant in this forum since it relates to internal XBMC handling of live video links over http.
If anyone here has any insight into the linked issue it would be greatly appreciated. If a solution requires making changes to XBMC proper I'd be willing to take a stab at it.
