I get SD for DVD, but nothing for BluRay
#1
I noticed that after watching a regular DVD movie from my NAS that the movie listing shows an SD > symbol to the right of the movie name. However, after watching BluRay movies, no symbol at all shows up. Streams with .m2ts or .mpls didn't make a difference.

I also noticed that if you bring up the movie information during playback for BluRay, that the poster to the left of the information looks like a film clip reel instead of the movie poster. I tried changing the name of the stream to the name of the movie, but no difference.

Not sure if it is relevant as I use a custom theme, but

For Blu Rays etc to be recognised, it has to have the name in the title I think

Casino.Royale.Bluray.m2ts
The.Simpsons.S25.EP02.HDTV.mp4 etc....

Unsure about the poster issue.

Strange, naming issue or not the media info scanner should display what the filetypes should be, did you try rescanning the library once you renamed it ?

Different skins show different things, but Bluray usually works for all skins I have used. But there may be other issues since posters are also an issue.

Read the sticky and create a debug log, as the more experienced will take more notice.

Just from a quick Google

Basically it should all be read from the files header file.

The skin I use reads the bluray part to give me Bluray covers, or HDTV etc for different cases.

The deal here is that there's nothing exotic going on. This is a virgin install that's been done on multiple machines with the exact same outcome.

For a glimpse at the first issue, follow the link

to see the 2nd issue, the link is below

BluRay is ripped with MakeMKV and written to the NAS with tsMuxer as a BluRay folder.

Unsure if this is the cause, doubt it, but why not just rip out the main .m2ts file with tsMuxer anyway ?.

Do you have any local files to check out and see if its due to the NAS, just to see.

Either way it seems to have scanned it correctly as it sees its 1080p etc.

But try changing skins and seeing what happens, or up a debug log if you want help.
