I'm new to home media servers and I'm curious as to what limitations Poofyhairguy's HTPC recommendations have, if any. For instance, are simultaneous HD streams possible, or would a more expensive HTPC be necessary?

Is there a list of desktop PCs that work especially well with xbmc and multiple streams over extensive periods of time?
