I am not able to install XBMC. I am using Windows 8.1 Pro on my laptop. I have downloaded from the XBMC website and tried to install 4 or 5 times without success. Anyone from any suggestions?
Thanks

Sorry, my error for not to mention but after downloading and the clicking to run/install my XBMC, nothing happened. It did nothing at all. I tried several times to download and to install Xbmc but nothing at all happened. I wish I could give you a better explanation but I can't
Sorry

You are clicking on the Windows Version ?

http://xbmc.org/
From there, I am clicking on the latest release and it takes me to all the different downloads and then I choose the Windows option. I did it again, I am getting a write error and it asks me to abort, retry, or ignore. If I click on ignore, I keep on getting errors.
I hope this helps. I am not too good when it comes to PC's, but I want to help

Yes, Windows.. I am using Windows. 8.1 Pro

When you choose the windows download, are you choosing to save or run the file?

To be honest it sounds like a Windows issue, as in where its writing too, a memory issue or something like that.

Any other issues installing things, try downloading another programme, like Winzip or Winrar, as I don't think its an actual XBMC error itself.

You definitely installing it to your C: drive ?

Hi. What ever you did, it worked. I just did the same steps as yesterday. Today, it installed with no problem. Thanks.
Being still shall I say a novice to XBMC and everything that it can do, I have the LBB and I have reached the point of watching movies. Is there something that I can see, read, watch to educate myself as to what XBMC can do?
Thanks for everything.

Sorry, I was wrong. Like I mentioned previously that I am not great on the PC, but I tried XBMC again but I was not successful. Not sure what I tried to do or what I did do earlier, but it's not working now. I'll try the above mentioned link

Hold on, that was just for info.

If it installed ok, then why would you have the same issues. I am unsure how you can get help if the results keep changing.
