Has anyone had experience with this box or can you tell me if it'll run XBMC at 1080p on a 48" screen...?

Go for ID67 which already has a Haswell CPU. It plays everything you throw at it.
ID63 is similar but the older generation of Intel processors don't play 23.976 correctly.
