Hi,
I often combine two subtitle files with different languages, say English and Chinese, into one subtitle file. In those files, there are subtitles with overlapping time periods like the example below.
======
1
00:00:46,130 --> 00:00:50,007
Test
3715
00:00:46,130 --> 00:00:47,340
測試
======
Frodo 12.x can separate them to two lines but Gotham 13.1 just overlaps one on another. This makes them totally unreadable.
Could someone tell me how to fix or get around this problem on Gotham 13.1 ?
Thanks a lot.

Hi, Ned,
Thank you for letting me know the good news so soon.
I tried Gotham 13.2 beta 2 last night, but the issue still exists. Do you mean that Gotham 13.2 beta 3 or upcoming releases will address this problem ?

I guess it could be a different issue, but at least one type of overlapping subtitles bug was included in the current 13.2 beta2 builds:

Hi, Ned,
Thanks for the info. I will try 13.2 beta 3 once it is released.

oops, sorry, I meant beta2. So that fix should already be included, so your issue might be a different, but similar, bug.

That is fine, Ned.
So what should I do next ? Do I need to submit a bug report so the development team can take a look at it ?
I do wish to upgrade to Gotham soon.

If you could report this on
http://trac.xbmc.org (just use your forum username and password) that would be great. Be sure to mention that you've tried this with the 13.2 beta, so they know it is a new issue. Just describe what you've said here in the trac report. If you need any help in filling out the bug report, just let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.

It might be useful to add a example file to that ticket, makes it easier for developers to check the issue

Thank you for your comment, Kib. I have already uploaded an example file to that ticket.
