Crashes On Startup
#1
Hi all,

I had a brief search for the issue, and it seems to be related to a lack of GL support on the GPU. I'm using an HP DV6-6153EA, with IGP on the i5-2410M, as well as a Radeon HD6490M. I am using the latest Catalyst drivers. XBMC works about 50% of the time (so it clearly has necessary support). Other times, it crashes out to the login screen as previous threads have stated.

Here's a log file: http://pastebin.com/7gdavTrs

I'd appreciate any advice/suggestions - thanks!

I recently reinstalled the system, and am now using the default graphics drivers, but have the same problem. I have also tried the latest Intel updates from the x-swat-updates ppa, but had the same issues again.

I'm beginning to think that this laptop is just cursed and cannot run XBMC under Ubuntu/Elementary OS. Any other ideas?

another Debug Log might help Wink

I would try a Helix version. We have eliminated SDL in this version which may be the culprit here.
