I've got XBMC 13.1 installed on my rooted FireTV, for the most part it works flawlessly, but I've noticed one strange thing occur from time to time. Occasionally the video will become choppy (dropping frames likely?), but the really strange part is that the playtime sticks at 0:00, and the jump 30 second button does not work. Pressing that button skips to the 30 second mark repeatedly, since the current play time sticks to 0:00.
Strange issue, resetting the FireTV always solves it. I don't have a XBMC debug log available at the moment, and getting one is tricky because it only happens form time to time. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue, and could offer a solution.
Found a solution for this so I'll post here:
"Disable mediacodec in hardware acceleration and leave libstagefright enabled. Then restart xbmc.. This is a known issue with mediacodec."
