Has there been any recent effort to document the .nfo schema?

I'm writing a metadata manager from scratch, and I was wondering if there was an official xsd document somewhere that specifies the official format of the .nfo metadata files supported by XBMC. I asked about this some time ago and was told that there was some cursory effort on the go to document it (more formally and completely) in the wiki, but I don't see anything new.

But of course isn't a schema. It would be a huge (but appreciated) effort for someone to take this on. Even just to show where strings vs integers are accepted for example.
