Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and don't know if there is a template for this type of question.
If there is please advise.

Equipment on hand.

1) Rasberry Pi (Model B)
2) Wifi dongle
3) Router (Wifi Enabled)
4) 2.5" External Hardrive
5) Network cables
6) Laptop
7) HDMI cable

The way I am currently running the XBMC media centre -

The Pi is geting power from the tv (5v 1a)

I am currently sharing my content (Music & Videos on the laptop, External plugged into the laptop) via wifi (Some 3d movies cant play as the speed I am assuming is just too slow)

The hardrive is not getting enough power from my Pi (The reason why it is beign shared from the laptop)

I want to share it now through the ethernet connection but still keep the wifi connection as I use my phone for the XBMC app to control everything.

Everything is set up on 192.168..... All with unique addresses

Now the problem is that I cant see any of my shared content (On the laptop) through the ethernet connection.

Hopefully this is clear enough and you guys would be able to help me.

Wouldn't your IP change from Wifi to Ethernet, so wouldn't you need to update your sources.xml?
