Hi

I have a problem eith all gotham releases including the latest beta.
System is Windows 8.1.
The Library contains many files which are stored in a rmeot cifs (smb) share (my NAS).
The WOL feature is enabled.

When I start the windows 8.1 computer with XBMC the NAS is normally powered down.
XBMC is started with system startup.
When I want to exit xbmc with The Onscreen Power-Button -> Exit the computer freezes completly.
It's not possible to use the taskmanager and kill xbmc because xbmc is always taking to focus.
I have to wait until some timeout.
When I exit xbmc by killling it from task manager instead of using the exit button it's stopped.

I think the problem is for some reason xbmc tries to reach the remote share when exiting.
How can I prevent this?
Is this a bug?

Something is holding XBMC from closing, waiting for some return from a source that isn't is classic and 3rd party add-ons are famous for. Set your debug log on, it should tell you what is holding up the works.

That was my idea too. WOL is timing out. The timeout is OK because the share is not available.
I can't see any 3rd party tool causing the problem. For me it looks like a basic problem.
From my point of view it doesn't make sense to load and pcitures from a remote share when XBMC should be stopped.

Mods hate it when you paste xml code to the forums. Yes I can see it, I think I read something about a patch or fix coming. You might want to try-out 13.2 or a nightly to see if you can get some solve.

xml? It just a part of debug output, not xml. For 20lines that should be OK.

I already tried 13.2beta1 but the problem is still there.

/Edit: I wsa too fast.

13.2 Beta3 doesn'T gix this issue.
It's also not fixed in kodi alpha release.
