Customize xbmc .xml for initial boot
#1
-hopefully this is not a repeat thread. plz direct if so.

What I'm trying to accomplish:

I have been searching for any resources on how to customize xbmc to load a customized skin on the first run (first boot). I realize this must be done within the xml files, but finding the lines of code to control certain aspects is beyond my scope at this point.

thanks all!

You can look at the guisettings.xml and config the strings: <lookandfeel>
It might be worthwhile to setup a default skin of choice and copy/paste the .xml for other installs if your unsure of what each tag does

^ thanks. I believe my issue with keeping settings remains working around the fact that the xbmc user data folders are created on the first boot. I keep loosing settings that must happen during this process.
