I switched on my Apple TV today and all my settings are gone.
add-on shortcuts gone, iStream integration gone, screen settings messed up is what i encountered now.
Didn't try to fix anything because i want to await feedback from you guys first.
All i did was uninstall xbmc from nito tv and re-installed it but that didn't fix anything..

What happened and how can i prevent this?

sounds like your guisettings.xml got corrupted - did you have a power outage or something?

yeah there was a power outage a few days ago
so no way to get it back without setting everything manually again?

actually, i switch of the power strip where all my tv stuff is on to save power.. is that something i should better not do?

tv, playstation and ATV consume quite a bit of power in standby mode

I would quit XBMC before doing that (indeed i do so for myself...)
