Hi,

I'm very happy with XBMC on Linux. I just have one point I did not find any information yet. I'm using a Stereo Amplifier and 2 Speakers. I'm not very convinced of all that surround stuff. Unfortunatelly on most films the voice is very low. So before I used Linux I had a Windows PC with AC3Filter. With help of that I could increase the volume of the center channel and the filter mixed it in the Stereo Signakl. That was fantastic.

Is that possible under XBMC as well. I did not find any settings for that but maybe I'm just blind :-)

Thanks a lot

As a first first option you can try to disable "normalize on downmix".

If this does not help, you need only a little patience until we have audio DSP functionality. Means that various add-ons have the chance to mix and manipulate audio data:

Hi,

wow thank you very much :-) Of course I have that patience. I use this for a few month and it is (more or less) ok.

Have a nice day.

Regards,

Alex
