H i just installed M3_LINUX-GBOX-update-20140525 on my g-box all fine except i cannot find the option in audio settings , to change speakers to 7.1 , yes i changed to expert levels in menu no joy

If you installed XBMCBuntu, then you need to uninstall pulseaudio.

Code:
sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio
sudo killall pulseaudio

This will force ALSA mode, then choose your device of choice

Well I should caveat that.

First look at

if you are using only as dedicated media/xbmc only PC then go ahead and uninstall pulseadudio, if not then the options in the wiki are the way to go. in my case it was a dedicated media centre so I got rid of pulseaudio.
