It's a pity that manufacturers lock stuff down as it stops us using the stuff we buy in the way we want.
Guess it's all about getting us consumers on that treadmill where we are forced to continually buy new stuff rather than repurpose good old stuff.
If your ever inclined to look into it further, it's possible MSI may have left the option to disable the integrated video within the AMI BIOS itself and simply hidden the menu entries.
In such a case, it may be a simple BIOS hack to bring such entries back from the hidden.
