#1
Been using XBMCbuntu and the latest Gotham for two weeks now and recently the DTS-HD and EAC3 options disappeared even though my receiver support them.

Here is the start of the log.

Your AVR only signals 96 khz - we need 192 khz for DTS-HD, TrueHD. Try to remember AVR settings you did. You can manually workaround this by echoing the correct values to the relevant proc file prior to starting xbmc, see e.g. here: https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/issues/3363 - you need to adjust this to your system, of course.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

It worked by doing

echo sad5_rates 0x1ec0 > /proc/asound/card0/eld#0.0

I heard it doesn't stay when you reboot though, where I can I put this at boot so it does it everytime? Must be a bug with my AVR cause it clearly shows DTS-HD support and it works with a DTS-HD video Smile

What avr? I wasnt able to play dts-hd, but everything else (not sure about eac3 though) after switching my avr to one of its modes. I dont remeber the exact name or which one I needed to have it set on, but it was along the lines of direct or straight.

You can add that command to /etc/rc.local right in a line before the exit 0

Are you sure your Samsung all in one supports HD audio from an external source? have you ever had it working? as very few all in one devices such as this allow either DTS-HD or TrueHD on the HDMI In, the manual Page 17 (http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/conten...131002.pdf) says for the HDMI In the following:

This system supports only DTS and Dolby Digital audio. MPEG audio, a bitstream format, is not supported
