I am new to HTPC and would like comments / advice on the system I am thinking of putting together.

Case - Silverstone ML03
Motherboard - ASUS H87M-Pro
Processor - I3 4130 / I3 4130T or I5 cant decide
PSU - Silverstone st30sf
Memory - 8gb DDR 3 1600mhz
SSD - Kingston Hyper X 120gb
Blu Ray - Pioneer 209
Processor fan - Scythe shuriken rev 2
Case fans - 80mm Noctua NF-R8
Os - Windows 8.1 pro

I will be watching 720/1080 and 3D content that is stored on my NAS.

I have a lower spec i3 running Win8.1 and the latest release of XBMC and it runs flawlessly on all media up to and including 3D BD. Your set up is more tha adequate.

Also long as the 3D content isn't MVC 3D (which XBMC doesn't play), then you'll be fine.

Great, I think I will order parts in the next week or so. Then I have to figure out XBMC and all the addons including the ones we can't talk about on forum
