Increasing Cache...any pros?

Using openelec cache is set to 20mb. when streaming a video the buffer starts to fill. Now if I was to do big step back. does it start from that point with buffer set to zero and has to re buffer meaning that I lost some downloaded data.

I only use Pi to stream. Theres like so much unused Ram at my disposal why don't I just increase to 60mb meaning it'll take 180mb Ram which I have spare.

my only concern is that I go backwards and forwards alot and alot of people using the Wifi so would I lose my buffer with this behaviour and in the end just take up limited bandwith?

set it to 0 instead.

thankyou but
"set the cachemembuffersize to 0, which would force XBMC to use your local storage (SD Card) for caching videos"

that would reduce the life of my sdcard and put unesscary stress on it.

when storing in buffer, what gets stored? say I start streaming at point 0. It starts to store in buffer. When I approach point 2 lets say, where does the buffer cache start from? is it at point 2 or just slightly below it?
