You did put it as caps ? VGA1, because thats what it says in your xrandr output

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 320 x 200, maximum 32767 x 32767
VGA1 connected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

Yes, and I tried a smaller resolution too...

I'm disappointed, so I am out and I'm going for a fresh installation.
