Linux Receiver stops working
#1
I have a Gigabyte ga-e7aum desktop and was running a very old Live version, I think 9.
On this version I had to manually mess around with the remote control settings but it worked flawless for many years.

Now on Gotham 13.1 it works out of the box but after a while my remote is no longer working
So I can start a movie, pause it, stop it, resume etc.
But after maybe 30 minutes it no longer responds to remote commands

The USB receiver is from Pinnacle and the red LED goes on when I push buttons on the remote

I checked XBMC and mobo settings for powermanagement but didn't find anything
Doing a BIOS update will be a challange without Windows

I have a HP receiver on my Asrock ION that works fine there
Just connected in to the PC that is giving me problems.
It does work right away but has a red LED that keeps blinking randomly
Of course I can't tell yet if it stops working after a while

No not anymore, with Gotham it worked out of the box
I did a full clean install, no upgrade. And even tried it a second time resulting with the same problem
