Hello,

I am currently using XBMC to watch movies and WMC to watch live TV.
I have WMC with 5.1 set in settings and windows setting are set to stereo. If I do not do that any channels crash few seconds after starting playback.
I'm looking for a script which would change 5.1 into stereo before it would run wmc and then switch it back to 5.1.

Is it possible to implement using advance launcher ?
Currently i'm launching wmc from XBMC using advance launcher, but i have to have windows 8.1 set constantly to stereo.

This forum is for using an XBMC addon (pvr.wmc) and backend service we wrote (ServerWMC) to be able to view live TV/recordings from WMC directly in XBMC - so it isnt really the right place to ask about launching WMC from XBMC (since our project aim is to not have to use WMC natively anymore!).

Maybe try xbmc (oops, I mean kodi) general help and support. FWIW, I was able to resolve this problem by setting speaker config in win7 to 5.1, but turning off application exclusive mode in the audio playback device>advanced settings (have to, my wife still views tv in wmc).
