XBMCbuntu MCE remote on Intel NUC
#1
Hey everyone,

I just purchase an Intel NUC D34010WYK that I like to use as a XBMC media center box, and some other "server" related linuxbox stuff.

Everything is working fine except my MCE remote Sad

The strange thing is when I install OpenELEC the remote works out of the box, but not when I install the XBMCbuntu, and I have to use the XBMCbuntu to run some of my other linuxbox related stuff.

I have tried a lot of lot of guides that I found via. google, but nothing helps - I have also tried to figure out the diff between OpenELEC and the XBMCbuntu, but can't figure it out.

Hope someone have an ida who to fix this.??

My MCE remote works just fine on XBMCBuntu on a NUC.
Can you be more specific about what you do to configure (link to what you use as a guide), and where does it start to fail?

Post a debug log where you press a bunch of keys, could be that the default Lircmap.xml needs updating again. Also post some output of the "irw" command, again while pressing some keys.

The "irw" command does not write anything when I use the XBMCbuntu,
but in OpenELEC there is alot of output with the "irw" command.??

I have tried a lot of different guides where they use LIRC, but can't get any to work.

OUTPUT from ir-keytable

on OE you have 2 protocols enabled, which seems the only difference

Yah, but I already have tried to add both of them on the XBMCbuntu, but still no response. ;(
