Movie scraper year hints not working
#1
I have:

Avengers, The (1998)
Avengers, The (2012)

The IMDB scraper picked them both up as the 2012 Marvel Comics version. I thought the year was supposed to help...

I did just notice that it's only the folder names that have the years in them, not the actual file names. Does that make a difference?

I think yes. There is a setting to get the name/year from folder names.

Is it the "Media List Options | Display Year in List Title" check box in the Movies - General tab? If not, I'm not seeing an option for that.

No, it's in the movie source setting: "Use Folder Name for Initial Listing".

If it's supposed to use title + year in scraping search it don't work and I think it never has

Updating library and they show up in the list with out year in listing, but if you open edit window 2 fields are filled in, both title and year
Now scrap it and only the title is used for search, so you have to pay attention to the path to know what to select
If you fill in the year in search window manually and search again you got a perfect hit

Can't say 100%, but I'm pretty sure it used to work. But that was probably a year+ ago.

It works, but only with the TMDB scraper.
But I have the IMDB scraper fixed. It should work in the next release as well.

Thanks - I was just coming onto the board to ask about this as well, so that is wonderful to hear!
