Recently, after a library update, I've gotten duplicate movie entries. I believe it might have been related to duplicate source entries I had, but have since removed. I currently show only a single source for each type of media, which is housed on different shares on a UPnP enabled NAS.
I did an export of my library to xml and see two entries for each movie. One references \\IP Address of NAS\Movie path, the other \\NASName\Movie path.
I've tried altering my source from the IP address to the name with no effect. Multiple library cleans don't take it away. The thing is, both paths are accurate, but only one is in my sources.
So far this hasn't affected my Music library, not sure why.
