Is it possible to have all of my movies in one directory on my server but to tag them with multiple tags such that movies can be listed in the tagged categories (I.e., children's, parents, action, animated, etc). I'd like to be able to select a tagged category and only list the movies with the tag. Each movie may show up in multiple tags if applicable.

Additionally in my kids room I'd like to only be able to see the movies tagged as "children's".

I prefer not to sort movies in separate directories as most movies can fall under multiple categories.

I totally agree! I want this same categorization! Even if it is an add-on for Kodi to follow shortcuts (although I'd prefer the actual categorization thing).

I haven't played with the tags function, but you could create a smart playlist and choose movies with a specific genre(s) to load. That's the quickest/easiest method.
