Wouldn't updating to latest SQLite for Kodi 14 (Helix) slightly increase database performance too?

The latest release and previous releases contain many small enhancements and bug fixes.

There is a PR for this. 20% faster was measured:
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/4235

(and there could be additional improvements with latest version).

OpenELEC does already use a newer sqlite.
