Hey guys. I may be new on the forums and I'm jumping into the idea of making a HTPC. I know what it is and such. The thing is that I have a spare laptop PC to use it as a HTPC.
Its specifications are as follows:
Sis Mirage 3(256 MB)(Integrated)
2 GB RAM
Intel Celeron 1,9 Ghz(I think it's a T1900, the one that has a second core).
160 GB HDD
I've tested KMPlayer with 3D HD videos on it, plays without any stuttering.
It currently has a Windows XP OS, but seeing that I can't find any HTPC programs that supports XP, I'll be installing a new system.
The question is, which OS would be better, taking the specifications into account? Ubuntu? Other Windows?
