Does increasing buffer/cache actually work?

Should of said at the start. You using a powered hub? Anyway you can try a wired connection?

In OpenELEC, the default advancedsettings.xml file is here: /usr/share/xbmc/system/advancedsettings.xml

It usually specifies sane/conservative defaults.

This file is read in first, then (if present) /storage/.xbmc/userdata/advancedsettings.xml is processed afterwards.

@yaqh: If you want to view the default file, run this command:

not using a powered hub.just wifi dongle.geting late now will try hard wired tomorrow.thanks guys
