The log says it's using the headset device so can you copy your guisettings.xml to http://pastebin.com so I can check what is says there is the selected device.

Hmm very strange.
I thought maybe the GUI was lying about the device selected, but the device id in guisettings.xml matches the one for the speakers.
Speakers (2- ASUS Xonar DX Audio Device) is defintely set as Default device within Windows at the moment?
About the only thing left I can suggest is to do a totally fresh re-install by uninstalling XBMC and then deleting the userdata folder. When installing again make sure audio is the first thing you do, as I notice several add-ons in the log and in particular one from a site that can't be discussed here with hub in the name, so that might be screwing something up.
