Can anyone tell me how to send CEC commands within an XBMC plugin? I have a Fire TV and CEC works fine with it. Someone also wrote an XBMC screensaver plugin that tells the FireTV to sleep. The issue is that I want to fire off a CEC command telling my TV to turn off. The FireTV already automatically turns on my TV when it wakes up as this happens at the OS/firmware level.
Is there some sample code anyone can point me to?

It sounds like you are using the FireTV remote. I am not sure the FireTV can turn off the TV, at least I haven't figured it out yet.
Have you tried using the TV remote to control the FireTV? I was able to get the navigation on my TV remote working once, but haven't been able to since.

I haven't found any way to turn off my TV from the FireTV, but using the android-specific screensaver it would turn the TV on whenever it tried to go to sleep. So I had to turn off the screensaver.
Didn't even try using my TV's remote, I use a flirc with a harmony.
