I am having a couple problems with connecting to a QNAP NAS from my NUC.
1. Confirmation of connection method - I assume NFS is the right protocol
2. The connection times out after a period of time and says "Unable to connect to remote server. Would you like to continue scanning?
3. After I reboot the NUC, I loose the connection to the NAS ?
Is there a way to keep constantly connected?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have noticed also, OpenElec is not retaining static ip address details and reverts back to dhcp.

1) Yes I have a qnap and NFS is how I access the shares library scrapeing etc, though also SMB so I can access shares add content to it from Windows machines when I boot into windows.
2) Its a remote server as in tvdb or tmdb that error has nothing to do with local NAS.
3) Sure try assigning static IPs or reserving the ips (depends on roouter) to your boxes and using them as them in sources
No idea dont use OE, but ya,
Debug log (wiki) always.

Openelec retains its IP adresses...how do you set them up? Via SSH or via GUI?
