No channel guide information

Hi,

I've been using the PVR.WMC add-on for a while now and it works great in all aspects but one:
It seems that the channel guide cannot be displayed correctly - I am guessing this is because it is in a foreign RTL language (Hebrew).

I've attached a screenshot from XBMC and one from Yatse (Android XBMC remote) where the channel guide displays fine (and comes from the same back-end of course)

Any information on how to fix this will be appreciated.

Thanks!
Tal.

Hi,

Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I went off for a two week vacation so I won't be able to post a new screen shot until then... The EPG looks exactly the same as what you're seeing in the specific chanel guide...

Had same problem, my motherboard clock was different compare to XBMC. Once I changed it... my EPG came back up

Interesting, what exactly did you change?

Just now when posting I realize you must have meant the entire EPG, but perhaps one channel would be enough?
If not I'll get another screenshot when I'm home this evening.

Okay, I just found out that my EPG screenshot did work, I don't know how I missed it:

Yeah, that doesn't look like much Smile. This is an interesting problem, and considering how spread out our users are over the world, its seems strange that it hasn't come up before. I assume its our encoding, but I am wondering how to go about debugging this. I will think about what to do (also scarecrow might have some ideas when he gets back). I may need to send you a test build just to see what we are getting from the wmc epg. I will get back to you.

@spoonman,

Can you restart serverwmc and then start xbmc, after xbmc shows that the guide has been downloaded, please post the serverwmc log file on pastebin.com and post a link to it here. To find the log file see the debug tab in serverwmc.

Okay, so with the help of @krustyreturns I realized that the entire UI font was the source of the problem.

The problem was solved by changing to a skin with configurable fonts (Aeon Nox 5 doesn't let you change its font) and using a font which supports Hebrew.
Other languages which don't use the standard latin character set (i.e. Arabic, Russian, Greek, etc.) had the same issue - the UI would lose all text once the system language was changed.

Hope this helps someone.
And thanks @krustyreturns for all the help on this matter!!!
